You may have been hearing about Tom Perkins lately. He's a billionaire venture capitalist who came on people's radar for penning a letter to the Wall Street Journal in which he compared the war on the rich to Nazi Germany's war on the Jews.
In Perkins twisted mind - the rich are the Jews.
"Writing from the epicenter of progressive thought, San Francisco, I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its "one percent," namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one percent, namely the "rich."
From the Occupy movement to the demonization of the rich embedded in virtually every word of our local newspaper, the San Francisco Chronicle, I perceive a rising tide of hatred of the successful one percent.
This is a very dangerous drift in our American thinking. Kristallnacht was unthinkable in 1930; is its descendent "progressive" radicalism unthinkable now?"Yeah, so that's Tom Perkins.
Perkins made headlines again this week by telling the press that he believed people who pay more taxes should get more votes.
"The Tom Perkins system is: You don't get to vote unless you pay a dollar of taxes," Perkins said. "But what I really think is, it should be like a corporation. You pay a million dollars in taxes, you get a million votes. How's that?"Sweet. The Siren thinks Perkins is just another billionaire with a limp dick vying for attention guys like Sheldon Adelson, David Koch and that asshole from Papa Johns get. Why should they get all the press?
Just for fun, we decided to check and see if our newest billionaire political pundit has written any checks to Scott Walker?
Of course he did!
Now Walker has plenty of rich people across the country writing him checks - BIG checks. We're sorry to say Perkins mouth was bigger than his wallet when it came to the Governor of Wisconsin - he only chipped in $100 to the recall campaign.
Chump. Adelson shelled out $250,000!
We believe if you get even a single dollar from a guy who compares being rich with being a Jew during the Nazi regime - you kinda need to give it back. Seriously.
If that guy goes on to say anyone who pays a million dollars in taxes entitles you to a million votes - you definitely have to give the money back.
Hey, it's a hundred bucks - Walker won't even notice. He'll never do it - not because he doesn't care, but because deep down Scott Walker probably agrees with him.
